Are miracles still a reality in today's market place? This is a debatable question, but it is with absolute assurance that I can say that God do still perform miracles in the marketplace.

There is however a problem. The post-modern person of today wants an instant answer for everything. Then we also have a pre-conceived idea of what the answer must be. We have so much knowledge, we are cynical because of past life experiences. We are so used to the best, that it is very difficult to trust God unconditionally with child like faith. That is why it often happens that we don't see when a miracle does happen right in front of our eyes.

The next story illustrates this fact very well.

There was a certain business man in Mexico trading in exports. However, the only way he could get his produce over the border was by bribing. His business was very sucessful and he made a lot of money.

Then he got saved and he realised that he would not be able to conduct business in the same manner. He decided to live with integrity and was not prepared to bribe any more. He took a chance and sent five trucks across the border without bribe money. That was the last he has seen or heard of the trucks. Not even a bolt or nut was recovered. He decided that he could not do business this way and although he questioned God's protection he was not willing to give up the peace he experienced since his conversion. The only way forward he could see, was to sell everything and start with a new business in another country.

One and a half years later the value of the farm he had depreciated by 50%. Three months later with another 25% and still three months later the government repossessed the farm. Should he had stayed on the farm he would not only lose 5 trucks, but everything he owned. His miracle was the negative happenings of five stolen trucks.

In the same way many negative things happens in our daily lives. We question God, wonder if He really cares about us en even accuse Him from time to time.

We find the answer to this behaviour in Hos. 4:6: "My children are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." This is demonstrated every day when we battle to trust God. If we knew the Word and made it our own, we would be able to wait for the answer with patience. In His Word he promises that he has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. On the cross he took our punishment so that we can have peace. He was made sin so that we could be the righteousness of God. He became a curse so that we could be blessed. He became poor so that we can be rich. He took our sickness on him so that we can be healed. It is clear that Jesus already did the complete and perfect work for us.

We must just start to trust him. When we really do this – we will experience Real Miracles in the Marketplace. We will have the 1SOTERIA blessings.

1Soteria – Total wellbeing.
